Though many people do take conscious control over their waking daily existence, they often do not consider that to be possible in the dream state each night. In the dream state the subconscious has a free rein to experiment with eventualities that can be instantly “played out” on a mental level. But, the subconscious can be directed in the dream state to create “circumstance dramas” that the conscious mind desires to experience.

There are many interesting experiments that you can try that will give you a better view of how the dream state connects to your daily waking life. Often, people have trouble remembering dreams and feel like they only, occasionally, can remember those that occur just before waking.
